On January 25, 1970, at the Midem Gala in Cannes, a 22-year-old Israeli singer represented France with his song "Laisse-moi t'aimer". The French discovered Mike Brant live on television. The birth of a media phenomenon that would electrify the crowds.
Hundreds of newspaper covers, thousands of galas, 15 million records sold in 5 years: Mike Brant was to live in an insane whirlwind, in the image of a frenetic, light-hearted, joyful era when singing stars were the new idols of youth. He was one of the brightest symbols of this mad era, but also its greatest victim.
This documentary tells the story of his brutally interrupted life, through archive footages and the testimonies of those who knew him.
