From roller coasters to live shows, gardens and aquariums, the French are increasingly fond of amusement parks. There are over 300 in France. Industry professionals reported record attendance last year, with 63 million visitors. These figures are constantly rising. Despite inflation, they remain a popular leisure activity for families, with new ones opening every year. But to attract the maximum number of customers and stand out from the crowd, each park has to offer experiences and a world that are very different from those of its competitors. To avoid becoming “old-fashioned”, they must constantly invest and renew themselves.
In this three-part documentary series, we take a look at the challenges faced by those who work behind the scenes to thrill millions of customers every year. 6 parks: Le Pal, Parc Astérix, Dinopédia, Rocher Mistral, Nigloland and Port Aventura. The first musical for Parc Astérix, a new giant roller coaster for Le Pal and constraints for the animals in its savannah, as well as a new Dinosaur park near Lyon, by a very ambitious young entrepreneur... Throughout France and on its borders, from behemoths to small family parks, from huge construction sites to the thrills of extravagant new roller coasters, take a behind-the-scenes look at these kings of attraction!
